Google is launching a new comparison tool called Google Compare for Auto Insurance, which lets consumers compare insurance quotes of different insurance providers who are enrolled in the program.
To use this tool, consumers enter their Zipcode and information about their vehicle(s), then they will see a list of personalized quotes from multiple participating providers. The aim is to provide consumers with the convenience and timely information to make an informed decision.
According to Google, this service is provided by Google Compare Auto Insurance Services Inc., which is a licensed producer acting as an independent agent of the participating insurance providers.
As of now, the service is free and is only available to California residents, but it is expected to include other states later this year.
