Google – A Wireless Carrier?

Google is working on becoming a wireless service provider, as confirmed by Google executive Sundar Pichai at Mobile World Congress. The new wireless service from Google will leverage WiFi technology to achieve affordable mobile service. Google wil be exploring new technologies that will provide quality calls across WiFi and cell towers. Google might be using cell towers from Sprint and T-Mobile, according to some rumors.

Early switchers to the new Google wireless service may need to have a Nexus 6 phone, according to the Wall Street Journal.
