Facebook Introduces Messenger Platform

Earlier today at Facebook Developers Conference F8, Facebook launched what it called the Messenger Platform, as a tool for developers to create apps which integrate with Facebook Messenger.

Through Facebook Messenger  apps users can explore new and innovative ways to communicate, share and express themselves, using various creative and fun ways, whether through photos, videos and much more.

Facebook Messenger currently has over 600 million users around the world. This provide a fairly large and stable users base for the new Messenger Platform.

Over 40 apps have already been integrated with Messenger, but expect to see many more as developers embrace the new Messenger Plarform, and start building cool apps as of today.
